Another lovely Friday is upon us! This week we celebrated our 3rd wedding anniversary with a little trip to Cincinnati. We had to leave after Nate got off work, so we only had a little over a whole day together, but I loved it nonetheless. Adventuring with my man will always be my favorite, so all the of the favorites from this week are from our little getaway.
My new mug. Nate got me this cute new mug for our anniversary that I had been eyeing for a while at Target. You can’t tell from the pic, but it’s nice and big! Perfect size for coffee first thing in the morning. My man knows me well. 🙂
IKEA. If you know me at all you know that I LOVE Ikea. I cannot go near one without stopping and walking through and buying at least one thing. Thankfully my near husband loves it too so he humors me and lets me get all the cute things for our little place. I love just walking around Ikea, getting inspired by all the set up rooms and such. And every time we go I have to have one of those yummy cinnamon rolls, whose scent wafts through the entire building, making me so hungry as I shop. I’m thinking about doing a little Ikea Haul post, to show y’all what I got, but we’ll see. I feel like I have less and less time to write lately, which makes me so sad.
Costco cheesecake. Nate and I have loved Costco cheesecake for 3+ years now. Yes, you heard that right. We both love cheesecake, so we served Costco cheesecake at our wedding. Every year since then (and maybe a few times in between), we get one from Costco and enjoy it. It’s so fun to remember our wedding day, and eat yummy cheesecake at the same time. Plus, it’s way cheaper than just getting a few slices of cheesecake somewhere (although it’s more dangerous to have it around!). This year our little anniversary getaway was a bit unconventional, since we could only take one day off work. So we left after Nate got off work, and picked a Costco cheesecake up on the way to Cinci. But we may have gotten a little peckish in the car, and maybe we started in on the cheesecake before dinner. But we are adults after all, and we can make those kinda decisions, right? 😀
Our new bed. Before we left on our trip, I started looking up beds at Ikea. We were blessed with a lot of furniture when we first got married, which allowed to not have to buy much in the way of furniture. But I’ve finally gotten to the point where I really wanted to buy a nice bed for us. One that we would love, and use for a long time, either in our room or in another room in our house one day. The one we found at Ikea is perfect, because it’s beautiful and vintage -like, but didn’t break the bank! I can’t wait to share more pics with y’all after I style it more.
Findlay Market. Although it rained a lot while we were in Cinci, we still had fun exploring the city a little. We ventured down town to visit Findlay Market, and I loved it! I want to go again in the summer, and maybe on the weekend when there are more vendors and such. Still, I loved walking around and seeing all the different food vendors and produce. We made the mistake of eating before we went, because we didn’t really know what the Market held. Next time we’ll go hungry and get some yummy food. 🙂
