Hey there and happy Friday to you! I apologize for my scant posting of late. Life has been very crazy and busy for us over the last couple of weeks. I finally had some time to sit down and do a little Ikea haul for this week’s favorites. I hope to find more time soon to work on some other posts before we go on our grand adventure to Canada next week. I hope your week has gone well, and that you have a lovely, refreshing weekend! Nate and I both work the next couple of days, and then we are excited to have Sunday off to worship at church and hang with friends.
Here are some of my favorite items that we got on our trip to Ikea a few weeks ago.
These adorable vases. I love how they’re kind of misshapen and bent, almost like they belong in a Dr. Seuss book. They’re perfect empty, or with some fresh blooms in them.
Here’s a pic of how I styled them with fresh blooms in our kitchen.
This table runner. As soon as my eyes fell on this little table runner on one of the displays I knew I had to have it. It’s so bright and cheery and I love the tassels. Plus it’s the perfect size for the new buffet table Nate made me (I promise to blog about it once I paint it!).
This lovely wooden cutting board. I don’t know about you, but I LOVE a good wooden cutting board. Not just for cutting, but for displaying food too. This one is a great size because it’s not too big, and not too small. They say you eat with you eyes first, so why not make your food all pretty on a cutting board like this?
Here’s the first yummy, pretty food plate I made. 🙂
And, last but not least, our wonderful new BED! This beauty happened to be one of the best priced beds there, and I love how it has such vintage, farmhouse charm to it. This bed is by far my favorite item from Ikea because I’ve been wanting a bed ever since we got married. We made some cool headboards, and we liked the feeling of just being on the box spring, but after a while I really just wanted a cute bed, you know?
I’m still working on the nightstand situation, but I love how our bed looks! Especially with the little wooden bench Nate made me at the foot. 🙂
I’m so thankful we got to go away for our anniversary, even if it was only a day and a half. I never want to take for granted the precious advnetures with Nate God blesses me with, nor the good gifts He provides for us, like these fun items from Ikea.
Have you ever been to Ikea? If not, you need to! And if so, what are some of your favorite items?
