Longboarding

Bet you didn’t know I have a long board (it’s a kind of skate board), and I LOVE to ride it with my husband. I know, I would be surprised if I knew me too. πŸ˜‰

Growing up with a bunch of brothers, I had many opportunities to experience and enjoy skateboarding and long boarding. I grew to love long boarding the most because of how easy it is to glide along, almost as if you’re surfing on land. Plus, it makes me feel pretty cool and such, too. Long boarding gives me such a lovely feeling of calm and relaxation. When I’m weighed down with the stress and craziness of everyday life, long boarding reminds me to slow down and enjoy the ride.

When I graduated from college, thanks to the kindness of both our parents and their graduation gifts, I had enough money to buy Nate and I both long boards, because we knew this would be something we would love to do together. We’ve had so many fun, crazy long boarding adventures, and I look forward to many more.

We bought sector 9s, which have been really good boards. Going on 2 years since we bought them, and they still work just as good. Sorry I don’t have more pictures of us riding. There’s a few videos on my Instagram, so you can check those out.

I’d highly recommend long boarding! All you need is a good board, a little balance, and a love for being outside in God’s glorious creation. I’m definitely not a pro, but I enjoy it! My board is longer so it’s nice and stable and glides along. Nate’s is a little shorter and built for speed and tricks. It amazes me how fast he goes!

Do you long board? I’d love to hear about it!

Love,
