Things have been a little quiet on here lately because we have some exciting news that we’ve been keeping a secret…
With unparalleled joy and excitement, we want to announce that we are PREGNANT! The Lord, in His amazing sovereignty and unending steadfast love has blessed us with a little baby. After almost a year and a half of trying to conceive, God has finally answered our prayers and given us the desire of our hearts. We are still pinching ourselves, and so so thankful. Baby Mee is due January 24th, 2018.
“Unless the LORD builds the house, those who build it labor in vain…Behold, children are a heritage from the LORD, the fruit of the womb a reward. Like arrows in the hand of a warrior are the children of one’s youth. Blessed is the man who fills his quiver with them!” Psalm 127:1,3-5
We know that a great many people have been praying that we would get pregnant. Dear family and friends who prayed faithfully for us and encouraged us with kind words and hugs and understanding, THANK YOU! We are so overwhelmed with how many prayers God answered because of how many people have been praying for us. Thank you, and please continue to pray that God would protect our little one in the womb and that he or she would grow strong and healthy. We know a lot of couples wait longer to tell that they’re pregnant, but we feel that it’s only right to inform y’all as soon as we could because you’ve been praying for us, and you could rejoice with us and continue to pray.
This little life inside of me is a testament to God’s faithfulness, steadfast love, and amazing power to grant life. He is the only One who can grant and sustain life. Our baby will always cause us to stop and rejoice in his grace and goodness to us. This little life is so much more precious because we have waited in anguish, asking God to give us this good gift. He had a plan for our waiting, and even though we may never understand all of why He made us wait on this side of glory, we see right now that our waiting was good because it has made us so much more thankful.
Yet in our joy we don’t want to forget those who are still in the deep, dark valley of waiting. We know your pain and we are praying that God will give you little ones as well, and that until He does He will comfort you.
There will be many more posts and details about Baby Mee to follow, but for now we couldn’t wait any longer to share our happy news.
