I can’t believe I’m already through the second trimester of this pregnancy with our miracle baby! Time sure does fly when you’re having fun (and growing a baby). I love that I’m pregnant during this time of year, which has always been my favorite. I love Fall, and then celebrating Thanksgiving and Christmas. Most of all, I love the cozy, thankful feelings that come along with this season. I know normally I have so much to be thankful for, but this year even more so. Each little hiccup, wiggle, and kick in my belly brings a smile to my lips and a thankful thought to my mind. Can’t wait to hold our little girl in our arms and explain why we named her Glory.
A lot more energetic than the first trimester! I also had an increased appetite all of a sudden, which made me want to eat all of the yummy things. Another new thing that started about halfway through this trimester: heartburn. I’ve never really dealt with a lot of heartburn before, so Tums have become candy for me. They say that if your baby has hair then you get lots of heartburn, so I’m hoping Glory will have a lovely head of hair when she comes out.
I have always loved cereal, but that love greatly multiplied this trimester. J I ate it a LOT for snacks (mostly after 10 pm, and a few times in the middle of the night when I was so hungry I couldn’t sleep), and for meals when nothing else appealed to me. Basically any cereal was yummy, but I especially enjoyed Life and Trader Joe’s Strawberry O’s. As far as aversions, they came and went pretty randomly, although I did notice I couldn’t eat any kind of pork, and even some chicken at times sounded totally gross.
Activities/Big things that happened these weeks:
We found out Baby Mee’s gender (through a crazy turn of events, I might add) and threw
a gender reveal party.
We named our sweet Baby Mee. Read about why we love the name we chose and the sweet meaning behind it here.
I shared a few posts from my Instagram because I wanted to record what I had written to go with the pictures for those weeks.
If you’re new here feel free to check out my first trimester bumpdate, as well as some of these other posts about our pregnancy journey linked below this post.
Hope your week is off to a lovely start!
