24 weeks of growing you, sweet boy. The past few weeks of pregnancy have been more rough on my body. Constant aches and pains as my body adjusts and grows have been a discouragement, and made these days at home a bit harder. But the Lord reminded me yesterday that last Spring I was longing to get pregnant again and so sad that nothing was happening. The flowers were blooming, but I was so down and discouraged and wondered if my body would ever grow life again. Thankful for how the Lord answered our prayers, even if His timeline was different than mine. Thankful that the struggle to conceive has made me so much more thankful for this pregnancy, even on the hardest days. This little miracle baby growing inside me is such a gift. May I never ever take that for granted.

Love these two so much (and the little boy in my belly who is always kicking me these days). Thankful we can be together during these crazy times. This morning Nate preached on Psalm 121, which was such a huge blessing to me. This past week has been a lot harder on me mentally and emotionally. Staying home for the third week straight, as well as seeing how things are changing and not really knowing what the future holds, and adding another baby to the mix when mothering a toddler is overwhelming at times. I struggle with anxiety more when I'm pregnant, so I've had to battle a lot of fear and anxious thoughts this week. Hearing the truth from Psalm 121 that God is our perfect and steadfast Protector really helped me. Thankful that we can anchor ourselves to the truth of Who God is during these unsteady times. He is watching over us, and He is in control of this situation that if far from our control. He is working all things for our good and His glory.

It's feeling like Spring lately, so I put on a dress. 🌼☀️🌱🍋. Feels like time is so slow and fast at the same time these days. Slow because of staying home and isolating, fast because I'm already 23 weeks pregnant. Been feeling big and by the end of the day I'm usually pretty achy, but like I tell Nate, "it's all for a really good cause." Mama loves you so much already, little Asher Nathan. Quarantine + nesting + Spring means lots of DIYs and organizing and cleaning getting checked off the list of things I want done before Asher comes. I've needed to paint the trim and doors in our room since we moved in last summer. 🙈 I'd planned on doing it way sooner, but it never happened. Thankful for extra time at home to do it! Also had the crazy idea of painting our closet door with chalk paint, so I have yet another surface to write/draw on 😂. It's a bit bold, but it makes me so happy and it feels so much like "me." Also, so happy to be 22 weeks with baby Asher! He is kicking and moving all the time now. I've been craving sun-dried tomatoes and brownies, but not together thankfully😋. His little kicks and wiggles throughout the day are such sweet reminders of God's grace and blessing. Thankful he is safe inside and growing amidst all the craziness in the world. Glory saw me taking these pics and wanted to join in. Love when she wants to take pictures with me. I'll treasure them forever. Trying to focus on being grateful for the extra time at home with her and Nate and the slow living that isolation brings. I've wished for more slow days during busier seasons, and even though they're under more serious and sad circumstances than I'd wish, I want to be thankful and focus on the good.
